About us
The mission of the Concession Company, AKA Alföld Concession Company Ltd. is to finance, to build, to operate and to maintain the M5 Motorway between chainages 17+400 km and 173+895, which connects Budapest and Röszke state border and 156,5 km long.
Between 1998 and 2006 there were three phases and for 2006 the full length of the motorway was handed over.
On the motorway covered by asphalt surface with 2×2 traffic lanes and an emergency lane, there are15 intersections and 111 pieces of well-preserved objects ensures safe traffic. For travellers there are 18 rest areas with several rest area services.

JUNE 2008M5 Motorway is ready for winter maintenance
AKA Alföld Koncessziós Autópálya Zrt. and the M5 Motorway Operating Company, A-WAY Zrt. have prepared their maintenance fleet for winter operation, which is ready to handle winter weather with regular road control service from November 10, 2020. At three operation and maintenance centres – in Újhartyán, Kiskunfélegyháza and Balástya – the special vehicles and adapters are ready for the winter.
Rest area restrictions for transit travellers
Due to the danger of coronavirus, the rest areas at Lajosmizse interchange at km section 67, at Petőfiszállás at km section 121 and at Szatymaz at km section 151 on both sides of the motorway are available for the transit traffic.
