Road surface repair works will be carried out on the M5 Motorway at the Petőfiszállás rest area located near chainage 122 between 18th June and 9th July 2026 in the direction of Szeged. During the first phase of the road surface repair works the rest area will be partially accessible, but in the second phase between 23rd June and 9th July 2026, it will be closed, and traffic will be diverted between chainage 120 and 123. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the repairs.
During the first phase of the road surface repair works roadside repairs with local restrictions will be carried out at the Petőfiszállás rest area located near chainage 122 km of the M5 Motorway in the direction of Szeged. The rest area will remain accessible for travelers.
In the second phase of the works – between 23rd June and 9th July 2026 – the Petőfiszállás rest area and petrol station will be closed. During this period accessing a petrol station next to the motorway will be possible at the Kecskemét south rest area located at chainage 91 or at the Szatymaz rest area located at chainage 151. During the road surface repair works on the M5 Motorway the traffic in the direction of Szeged between chainage 120 and 123 will be temporarily diverted into the fast lane. A speed limit of 60 km/h is to be expected within the aforementioned section. The repair works are expected to be completed by 9th July 2026.

Unforeseeable events may result in changes to the aforementioned schedule. AKA Ltd. reserves the right to modify the schedule of the maintenance works.
