Due to the construction of the M44 expressway, portal base structure demolition and portal sign placement works will be carried out on both sides of the M5 motorway in the proximity of Kecskemét from 29th July 2026 to 6th August 2026. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the works.
On 29th and 30th July 2026, on the M5 Motorway the traffic in the direction of Budapest between chainage 74 and 77 with mobile traffic diversion will be able to flow on one traffic lane during the day. While on 5th and 6th August 2026, on the M5 Motorway the travelers in the direction of Szeged between chainage 71 and 74 will be able to use only one traffic lane during the day.
The works are expected to be completed by 6th August 2026. A speed limit of 60 km/h is to be expected within the aforementioned sections.
Information about current traffic restrictions and diversions will be continuously provided by Útinform on their website www.utinform.hu, and by AKA Ltd. on their website www.aka.hu as well as the operator – A-WAY Ltd.
AKA Ltd. asks travelers to drive more carefully and pay attention to colleagues working in the diversion, keeping the speed limit on the M5 Motorway. Unforeseeable events may result in changes to the aforementioned schedule. AKA Ltd. reserves the right to modify the schedule of the maintenance works.
