A shortened stretch is provided for traffic entering and leaving the motorway at the Örkény rest area as well as the Örkény interchange.
In the second phase of the works – between 15th and 24th May 2025 – between chainage 49 and 57 km the diversion continues, in the direction of Budapest and the off- and onramp of the Örkény interchange at chainage 53 will be closed. Leaving and entering the M5 Motorway will be possible at the Lajosmizse interchange at chainage 68 or the Újhartyán interchange at chainage 44. During the repair works entering and leaving the motorway is ensured for the travellers travelling towards the direction of Kecskemét. Temporarily installed yellow signs guide travelers on the motorway during the repair works.
The repair works are expected to be completed by 24th May 2025. Speed limits of 60 km/h and 80 km/h are to be expected within the aforementioned section.
Information about current traffic restrictions and diversions will be continuously provided by Útinform on their website www.utinform.hu, and by AKA Ltd. on their website www.aka.hu as well as the operator – A-WAY Ltd.
AKA Ltd. asks travelers to drive more carefully and pay attention to colleagues working in the diversion, keeping the speed limit on the M5 Motorway.
