Road surface repair works will be carried out on the M5 Motorway in the proximity of Ócsa between 5th and 22nd October 2026 in the direction of Budapest between chainage 25 and 29. During the road surface repair works, traffic will be diverted at the technical crossings between chainage 23 and 30. On the main track two lanes are available for travelers twice in each direction, except during the installation and dismantling of the diversion. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the repairs.
The repairs will expectedly start on 5th October 2026 on the aforementioned section. During the road surface repair works on the M5 Motorway the traffic in the direction of Budapest between chainage 23 and 30 will be temporarily diverted into the fast lane, then to the slow lane, and into the fast lane of the opposite side, thus ensuring two available lanes for travelers in each direction on the motorway. For traffic heading towards Budapest on the diverted section, leaving the motorway is not possible at the M0 interchange at chainage 23 or the Gyál interchange at chainage 22. The repair works are expected to be completed by 22nd October 2026. Speed limits of 60 km/h and 80 km/h are to be expected within the aforementioned section.
Information about current traffic restrictions and diversions will be continuously provided by Útinform on their website www.utinform.hu, and by AKA Ltd. on their website www.aka.hu as well as the operator – A-WAY Ltd.
AKA Ltd. asks travelers to drive more carefully and pay attention to colleagues working in the diversion, keeping the speed limit on the M5 Motorway. Unforeseeable events may result in changes to the aforementioned schedule. AKA Ltd. reserves the right to modify the schedule of the maintenance works.
We wish you a safe trip!
