Road surface repair works will be carried out on the M5 Motorway in the proximity of Újhartyán between 28th May and 14th June 2025 in the direction of Budapest between chainage 43 and 49. During the road surface repair works, traffic will be diverted at the technical crossings between chainage 42 and 50.
Between 10th and 18th June 2025 on the M5 Motorway in the direction of Budapest the onramp of the Újhartyán interchange at chainage 44 will expectedly be closed due to road surface repair works. On the main track two lanes are available for travelers twice in each direction, except during the installation and dismantling of the diversion. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the repairs.

During the first phase of the road surface repair works – between 28th May and 10th June 2025 – on the M5 Motorway the traffic between chainage 42 and 50 km in the direction of Budapest will be temporarily diverted into the fast lane and into the fast lane of the opposite side, thus ensuring two available lanes for travelers in each direction on the motorway. During this period entering and leaving the motorway at the Újhartyán interchange at chainage 44 will remain possible for travelers with speed limits in place.
In the second phase of the works – between 10th and 14th June 2025 – in addition to the traffic diversion on the M5 Motorway in the direction of Budapest, the onramp of the Újhartyán interchange at chainage 44 will be closed. Entering the M5 Motorway will be possible at the Örkény interchange at chainage 53 or the Inárcs interchange at chainage 35. Temporarily installed yellow signs guide travelers during the repair works.
In the third phase of the works – between 14th and 18th June 2025 – the traffic diversion will be dismantled on the main track. On the M5 Motorway in the direction of Budapest the onramp of the Újhartyán interchange will remain closed. Temporarily installed yellow signs guide travelers during the repair works.
The repair works are expected to be completed by 18th June 2025. Speed limits of 60 km/h and 80 km/h are to be expected within the aforementioned section.

Information about current traffic restrictions and diversions will be continuously provided by Útinform on their website www.utinform.hu, and by AKA Ltd. on their website www.aka.hu as well as the operator – A-WAY Ltd.
AKA Ltd. asks travelers to drive more carefully and pay attention to colleagues working in the diversion, keeping the speed limit on the M5 Motorway. Unforeseeable events may result in changes to the aforementioned schedule. AKA Ltd. reserves the right to modify the schedule of the maintenance works.

We wish you a safe trip!
