During the second phase of the road surface repair works – expectedly between 9th and 20th November 2026 – on the M5 Motorway the traffic in the direction of Budapest between chainage 84 and 90 will be temporarily diverted into the fast lane and into the fast lane of the opposite side.
For the entire duration of the works, at the Kecskemét west interchange at chainage 86 for traffic heading towards Budapest, leaving and entering the motorway is possible on a shortened stretch. For traffic heading towards Szeged leaving the motorway remains the same, but at the onramp motorists must be prepared to yield the right-of-way at the STOP sign before entering the motorway. A shortened stretch is provided for traffic leaving and entering the motorway for travelers heading towards Budapest at the Kecskemét north bypass interchange at chainage 81.
During the entire period of the road surface repair works on the M5 Motorway in the direction of Budapest the Hetény rest area at chainage 77 will be closed.
