Road surface repair works will be carried out on the M5 Motorway in the proximity of Kecskemét between 4th and 22nd May 2026 in the direction of Szeged between chainage 87 and 91. During the road surface repair works, traffic will be diverted at the technical crossings between chainage 87 and 93. Between 5th and 20th May 2026 on the M5 Motorway in the direction of Szeged the offramp of the Kecskemét south interchange at chainage 91 will expectedly be closed due to road surface repair works. On the main track two lanes are available for travelers twice in each direction, except during the installation and dismantling of the diversion. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the repairs.

The repairs will expectedly start on 4th May 2026 on the aforementioned section. During the road surface repair works on the M5 Motorway the traffic in the direction of Szeged between chainage 87 and 93 will be temporarily diverted into the fast lane and into the fast lane of the opposite side, thus ensuring two available lanes for travelers in each direction on the motorway.
Between 5th and 20th May 2026 on the M5 Motorway in the direction of Szeged at the Kecskemét south interchange at chainage 91, leaving the motorway is not possible, but for traffic entering it, a shortened stretch is provided. Due to the traffic diversion, temporarily installed yellow signs guide travelers entering the motorway on both sides of the interchange. During this period leaving the M5 Motorway will be possible at the Kecskemét west interchange at chainage 86 or the Kunszállás interchange at chainage 103.
The repair works are expected to be completed by 22nd May 2026. Speed limits of 60 km/h and 80 km/h are to be expected within the aforementioned section.

On the M5 Motorway the Kecskemét north interchange at chainage 74 will expectedly be closed from 10th October 2024 until autumn 2026 due to construction works carried out at the interchange of the M5 Motorway and the M44 Expressway. On the motorway in the direction of Budapest the offramp will be closed from 10th October 2024. Entering the motorway at this interchange towards Budapest will be possible from the direction of Kecskemét. On the motorway in the direction of Szeged the off- and onramp will be closed from 14th October 2024. During this period, traffic will be diverted between chainage 72 and 76. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the repairs.

From 10th October 2024 on the M5 Motorway in the direction of Budapest the offramp of the Kecskemét north interchange at chainage 74 will expectedly be closed, the onramp from the direction of Kecskemét will remain accessible for travelers. During this period, traffic on both sides of the motorway will be diverted between chainage 72 and 76. The emergency lanes will be closed, thus traffic will be able to move on narrower tracks on the slow and the fast lanes with a speed limit.

From 14th October 2024 on the motorway in the direction of Szeged the off- and onramp of the Kecskemét north interchange will be closed. Leaving and entering the M5 Motorway will be possible at the Lajosmizse interchange at chainage 68 or the Kecskemét north bypass interchange at chainage 81. At the interchange, main road No. passing over the motorway will remain accessible with temporary traffic restrictions. Travelers on main road No. 5 from Lajosmizse to Kecskemét will not be able to turn onto the onramp of the motorway in the direction of Budapest.

A speed limit of 60 km/h is to be expected within the aforementioned section. The repair works are expected to be completed by autumn 2026
