AKA Zrt. – road manager of M5 motorway – will be the official participant and supporter of EDWARD project (European Day Without A Road Death) in 2019. The aim of the project is to draw the attention for the accident-free traffic. In order to promote the EDWARD project, on 26th September 2019 at 10.00 am, a visualization about the initiative will appear above the motorway on the electronic boards.
The value of the EDWARD project is major for AKA Zrt., since the accident-free traffic is highly important. The purpose of the project is to reduce the number of deathly accidents to zero. The main reason of the EDWARD project is to reduce the number of deathly accidents all around the world in long term.
The visualization on the motorway on 26th September 2019, is a great opportunity to promote the project and encourage the drivers to join and make a pledge. The main goal is to reduce the number of the accidents with 50% until 2020; to reach this achievement the conscious behaviour of the drivers, bicyclist and pedestrians is very important. The EDWARD project draws the attention of every driver of the dangerous situations on the roads and how they can reduce the upcoming risks. Project EDWARD is supported by TISPOL member countries (TISPOL is the European Traffic Police Network), and a growing number of well-known brands and road safety organisations have pledged to work with TISPOL to promote the messages of EDWARD as far and wide as possible.
