|Expected congestions at Röszke
Due to the approach of the holidays, feasts and the beginning of the school vacations congestions are expected at the Röszke border station – announced the spokesman of the Csongrád County's Police Chief Captaincy on Thursday.
Major traffic is expected on the exit side of the Röszke border station from 3:00 pm on Friday afternoon until dawn, and on Saturday, during the whole day. The drivers of the personal vehicles leaving Hungary may face up to three hours waiting time, the truck drivers might be waiting for an hour – said János Pál, Police Lieutenant Colonel. The entering traffic will exceed the half hour waiting during Saturday morning – added the spokesman. The lieutenant colonel recommended for the transiting drivers to use the Tompa borders station in order to avoid the increased waiting time during this period. This border crossing can be reached from the M5 motorway, from the Soltvadkert or from the Kiskunfélegyháza exits. The detour is only 5 Kms long. The Hungarian and the Serbian citizens may choose the Tiszasziget border station between 8:00 am and 6:00pm as well. (MTI)
